Lost Drone?
Know Where to Look.
Add an independent layer of GPS tracking to a compatible drone. See its last reported position on your phone and improve your chances of finding it after an unexpected landing.
Extra protection for an expensive piece of equipment
A flyaway, interrupted controller connection or unplanned landing can leave you searching an unfamiliar area. A separately powered GPS device provides another potential source of location information.
Wind & drift
Unexpected winds can push an aircraft away from its intended route.
Signal loss
An independent tracker does not depend on the drone controller's radio link.
Flight interruptions
Equipment or navigation problems may force an unplanned landing.
Recovery searches
Last reported coordinates can help narrow down the area to search.
Stay better prepared when a flight doesn't go to plan.
Trackimo Universal 4G is a compact GPS tracker with its own rechargeable battery and cellular connectivity.
- View reported locations from a compatible smartphone or web browser.
- Review location history to help identify where the tracker last reported.
- Receive available alerts using location and movement notification features.
- Use independent power rather than relying on the drone's battery for tracker operation.
GPS accuracy and updates depend on positioning conditions, battery power, subscription status and compatible cellular coverage.
How independent drone GPS tracking works
Once the unit is activated and safely attached to a compatible aircraft, location reporting is managed through the Trackimo platform.
Activate
Register the Universal 4G tracker and activate its included tracking service.
Mount safely

Locate
If an incident occurs, use the last available coordinates to help guide your search.
Trackimo Universal 4G
Compact, rechargeable, and designed for location monitoring. The Universal 4G offers an additional recovery aid for drones that can safely carry and accommodate a separate tracker.
The linked retail bundle includes accessories intended mainly for other tracking applications. Extra battery packs or magnetic boxes should not be assumed suitable for drone mounting.
Choose the right aircraft and mounting position.
Not every drone can safely carry a 40 g external tracker. Confirm the manufacturer's payload guidance and assess attachment security, aircraft balance, flight time, antenna performance and clearance from moving parts.
Drone GPS tracking FAQs
Can I locate a drone after losing the controller signal?
Possibly. The separately powered tracker can continue reporting if it has charge, a usable GPS position and supported cellular coverage. It does not depend on the drone's controller radio connection.
Does it work in areas without cellular coverage?
GPS positioning and transmitting that position are different things. Without a compatible cellular connection, new reports may not reach the app. Your last successfully transmitted position may still be available.
Will Trackimo Universal work on every drone?
No. Its 40 g weight, dimensions and mounting requirements must be assessed against your specific drone's capacity and safety instructions.
How frequently does the tracker report its position?
The Universal product specification lists reporting as frequently as once per minute. Actual reports depend on settings, GPS reception, cellular service and battery.
Is recovery guaranteed?
No. A tracker is a recovery aid, not a guarantee. Terrain, signal conditions, remaining power and physical access can all affect whether a drone can be recovered.
What is included in the subscription?
The linked Trackimo Universal retail bundle lists 12 months of subscription service. Check the product page for the currently available package and renewal terms.
